Melbourne

During our stay in Melbourne we managed to meet up with Bev (and BB Boufle!) who had been on the bus trip out to Oz. David spent the day with them at the Open tennis. Helen went on a sight-seeing trip around the City and took in some art and then the three of us went out on the town in the evening. It was great to catch up with the B's and whilst there was a bit of inevitable reminiscing about the overland trip, there was also talk about what else we'd done and what we were looking forward to for the rest of the year. We had a lot of laughs, a bit of food and a glass or two to drink. The following day we were a bit sluggish for some reason?
Our accommodation was a little way out of the city so we decided to do plenty of looking around by foot. We also managed to visit a couple of galleries, wander down to St Kilda's beach and grab a couple of complimentary rides on the tram network in the city.
